La Crosse Glass Company is looking to add an experienced commercial project manager to our team. We are a locally owned Overhead Door, Commercial Glass and Glazing sub-contractor based in La Crosse, Wisconsin. We are focused on projects within a 90 mile radius of La Crosse ,WI in the Office, Healthcare, Education, Renovation and Interior Finish Out sectors.
Project manager job description:
Project Manager is responsible for execution of contract scope of work on projects up to $3M in contract value within allotted budget and schedule. Will manage multiple projects from bidding and submittal stage to close out using internal and external resources in the most efficient manner possible. Project Manager will be surrounded by internal team consisting of an engaged Business Owner / Project Executive, Project Supervisor, Fabrication Manager, Contract Admin and talented installation team consisting of company employees. The depth of our team allows the PM to focus procurement of material and executing the work within schedule and budget. You will also be given access to technology needed to be successful, mobile and allow for most efficient use of time.
Project Manager Qualifications / Skills:
- Develop and execute plan to take project from bidding to close out.
- Responsible for purchasing and scheduling all material from vendors that represent the best fit for the project.
- Maintain digital and paper job files in logical manner in accordance with company standards.
- Prepare schedule of values and manage project budget.
- Oversee and coordinate preparation of shop drawings and engineering using external vendors.
- Prepare all submittals, RFI and change order requests in timely manner to ensure no delay to project.
- Monitor in house fabrication and external fabricators to ensure all material is produced on time and address any delays with fabrication team.
- Assist Field Operations Manager and Project Supervisor with labor projections based on material delivery schedule and miles stones established by General Contractor.
- Participate in and contribute to all project meetings held by General Contractor.
- Collaborate with La Crosse Glass project team to identify the means and methods to most efficiently execute our work.
- Assist Supervisor and glazers with coordination of on-site activities.
- Ensure accurate and complete project documentation using internal project management software suite. 13. Provide weekly project updates to management team.
Education, Experience:
- Strong Math & Communication skills both verbally and written
- 1 year minimum experience in commercial construction
- Advanced blueprint and specification interpretation skills
